At the time of homecoming for Jilin University's 70th anniversary, the College of Foreign Languages held the alumni meeting in Room 500 in the Foreign Language building on the afternoon of September 16th. Members of the leading group of the college, directors and vice-directors of every department and office, the party branch secretary as well as the representative of teachers and staff members gathered together with the alumni from all parts of the country, looking back on the old days. The Deputy Secretary and vice-president of the college, Bai Yu, chaired the meeting. At the meeting, Professor Zhou Yifu, head of the Foreign Languages College, reported the college work of recent years. And he introduced the current situation of the college and the progress made in these years. The college has always been devoted to strengthening the educational concept, raise the horizon of teachers and provide a better stage for the students.
Meanwhile, Zhou Yifu, head of foreign languages college, mapped out five developing strategies for the teaching of our college. Firstly, concentrate on the developing goals and promote the construction of the college. Secondly, strengthen the high order leadership and improve the overall quality of teachers. Thirdly, focus on the quality of personnel trained. Fourthly, develop disciplines construction vigorously, and lastly, carry out international exchanges and cooperation actively.
Next, alumni introduced their working conditions and sent their wishes to the alma mater and college individually. And then, staff from each department held cordial discussion together with alumni.
We believe that with the support of all the school staff, students and alumni, there will be a better future for the Foreign Languages College.
