In the 15th Aeon Cup National Multilingual Interpretating Competition held on November 5, 2022, Jin Yumei, a student majoring in Korean Interpretation from Grade 2021, had a wonderful performance. In this fierce competition, despite the unfavorable entry order and other factors, with her solid professional language foundation and strong psychological quality, she overcame difficulties and was widely recognized by a group of judges. A total of 15 contestants took part in the final, among which Jin Yumei won the fourth place and the third prize in the competition.

Aeon Cup National Multilingual Interpretation Competition is co-sponsored by Translators Association of China and Beijing International Studies University. It aims to improve the quality of translation talents training in Chinese colleges and universities, and realize the interaction and intergration of translation teaching, translation research and translation practice. It has been successfully held for 15 sessions so far. The National Multilingual Interpretating Contest provides a platform for students of different languages to show their language ability and promotes the development of foreign language teaching. Winners of this competition will be selected into the Translation Talent Pool of CIPG(China Foreign Languages Bureau).

Jin Yumei's instructor for this competition is Ms. Wang Yanli from the Department of Korean Literature in School of Foreign Studies.
